AthleticsSaint Brigid offers the following sports: basketball, soccer, and cross country.Watch for news of volleyball
clinics. Students from grades four through eight are invited to participate in
these sports.
BasketballBasketball has been around since the school opened its doors more than 45 years
ago. Championship banners grace our gymnasium walls with pride. Saint Brigid is a member of the Hartford Archdiocesan Basketball
League. Official league games are played with Connecticut Deanery
with an additional schedule of unofficial league games played in the
New Britain Deanery. All students who sign up will be on the team.
Saint Brigid has a no cut policy. Grade 4 boys and girls are on an
instructional team, which is basic skills and knowledge of the game.
Schools throughout the Archdiocese play with the same rules and allow
the players to develop their skills, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
