Program Activities

We provide indoor and outdoor activities, a structured homework period with help given as needed, creative activities, activities of choice (puzzles, games, etc.) as well as quiet silent reading time. Children should bring a change of clothes everyday. Your child will not be allowed to play in the gym without sneakers.

Snacks

We provide a healthy snack for your child if they are planning to stay after school.

Program Location and Phone Number

The After School Program is located in the cafeteria of Saint Brigid School. Children will have access to the gym as well.

Morning Program

There is a $5.50 fee for the Morning Program from 7:00 - 7:30 am. Children are allowed into the building at 7:30 am and will meet in the cafeteria. Two teachers are available to monitor attendance at this time. No child may enter by the back door of the school leading directly into the cafeteria.

If the school opening is delayed due to bad weather, the Morning Program will also be delayed the same amount of time. Therefore, if school is delayed one hour, the Morning Program will begin at 8:30 am.

After School Program Hours & Pickup Time

After school hours are from 2:20-5:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday from 1:20-5:30 pm.

We request that you notify the teacher in writing or call the main office by 10:00 am if your child plans to use the After School Program so we can staff accordingly.

A sign-out book is located in the cafeteria. Parents, or a person designated in writing by the parents are required to sign out their children when picking them up from our After School Program. Children must be picked up before 5:30 pm. For the safety of the children. Children will be released only to parents or to those persons authorized by the parents for pick-up. Any change in this must be made in writing by the parents.

The After School Program closes at 5:30 pm. If you cannot pick up your child by 5:30 pm, please make other arrangements.

If a child is not picked up by 5:30 pm and there has not been a call from a parent, a call will be made to the person authorized by the parent to pick up the child in cases of emergency.

The cost of the After School Program is $5.50 an hour or any part of that hour.  A late fee of $5.00 will be charged for every 15 minutes beyond 5:30 pm. This late fee will be included in your weekly bill.

If a child is picked up late, 3 times in a month or if we feel the program is being abused, the child may no longer be eligible for the After School Program.
